Thanks to some helpful ppl on the support forum I was able to move the new version of iLife that came with my MBA to a system with more power and storage space.
Simple type the following in the terminal with the flashdrive attached:
open /Volumes/Mac\ OS\ X\ Install/Packages/iLife/iLife.pkg
BTW I have not updated in a while due to new family member. I have lots of new toys and gear so will have to update when I get a chance but this needed to be posted even if it is only for my own reference
